Crowd Simulation at the
Academy of Art University
Since the summer of 2008, I've been teaching a class on crowd simulation at the Academy of Art University. The class is split into two sections where the first half focus entirely on procedural animation using agent-based simulations, and the second half on crowds pipeline, including mocap, rigging, lighting, and rendering. The primary tool is Massive, though we do cover Golaem, and I intend to teach Houdini as well in future semesters.
